The Metamorphosis FRANZ KAFKA

Our misfortune brings sight to our blind spots

To love is to give, to provide, to sacrifice. He who loves, favors the one he loves over himself. Love is a beautiful pain, it is a sweet tiredness.
But one can't give all this love to others if he never tasted it, because in this generousity commotion he would forget to love himself.
Gregor samsa devoted himself completely for the comfort and happiness of his family, he favored them over himself, his needs, his wishes and dreams. He gave the all the love he had and left him self with none. So one morning he became an insect, an insignificant creature.
He, Gregor Samsa, the devoted and loving son and brother, received only neglect and impatience from his family. And even when he wished to heal, it was for them.
Metamorphosis is a waking call for those who neglect their beings, and devote themselves completly for others, whom selfishly won't do the same for him, in his time of need. And its not really their fault, for he is the guilty one because he didn't love and care for himself, so why should the others think of him as love worthy.

10 Minutes And 38 Seconds In This Strange World

Though, it wasn't strange; it was a sinful world

It is the story of the pathetic existence of Leila, her family and her friends, in an attempt of following their desired paths, they get lost in a dark and moldy labyrinth with no potential way out. They fell in nasty trapes.
But it is also a brief journey through the painful history and present of turkey. Its dark side.
A decent mixture of fiction and nonfiction events, made for an attempt to convey a deep and detailed perspective of the undesirables, the rejects.

I'm Thinking of Ending Things

I'M THINKING OF ENDING THINGS

A thought is closer to truth than an action

That was a disturbing way to end things!

Ibn Khaldun said in his "MOKADIMAH" that "the human is a social creature", he needs to connect and interact with others, it is crucial for him in order to survive and keep on going in life.
We shape our actions and sayings to be able interact with our surroundings; to fit in. They are our efforts to belong to society. Inb Khaldun was right, the human brain is programmed to socialize, therefore our actions need to be an interpretation of those thoughts, or else our behavior will be anomalous.

The Memory Police

THE MEMORY POLICE..SAVE YOUR SOUL

It is one of those books that stick on your mind! Ironically the story of the book is about loosing memories, while it is geniusilly written to be an " unforgettable memory".
The title and the cover give you the impression that it will be a complicated political dystopia, so you kinda expect some action. Instead, you'll find yourself in a slow paste read, with only couple of events that keep happening again and again until the end of the book. From out of the blue things disappear, so people must get red of them and forget that it ever existed, those who do not forget will be arested by the memory police and never go back, they disappear too.
But don't give up on the book just yet. Towards the end things start getting frightening and only then you would get the message.
It is a waking call to the subconscious mind, to fight, to resist and to stick up for a person's soul, being so fragile and vulnerable as it the essence, it needs protection otherwise it is going to vanish.
